Fittr Privacy Policy

Fittr ("the App") is a local-only fitness tracker designed to help users log food, workouts, and bodyweight. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about our data practices. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Fittr does not collect, store, or process any personal information.

  • You do not need to create an account
  • All data you enter (food logs, workouts, custom meals, settings, bodyweight entries, etc.) is stored only on your device
  • We do not have access to your data at any time

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All user-generated data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Fittr does not transmit your personal data to any server, cloud service, or third party.

If you delete the App, all associated data stored on your device will also be deleted.

3. Third-Party Services

Fittr uses two publicly available food databases to provide food information and barcode scans:

  • Open Food Facts API - Used to search for food items or retrieve product details using barcode numbers
  • USDA FoodData Central API - Used to search for food items and retrieve nutrition information

What gets sent:

  • Barcode numbers (for lookups)
  • Food search terms

What does not get sent:

  • No personal data
  • No app data (logs, weight, meals, workouts)
  • No device identifiers
  • No tracking information

These services only receive the food lookup request necessary to provide results.

4. No Tracking, Analytics, or Advertising

Fittr does not use:

  • Advertising networks
  • Analytics tools
  • Tracking technologies
  • Cookies
  • Third-party SDKs that collect user data

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone because we do not collect any.

5. Your Rights

Because all data stays on your device, you have full control. You can:

  • View your data
  • Edit your data
  • Delete your data at any time
  • Export your data manually through the App

We never store or access your information, so deletion and control happen entirely through your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Fittr does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. However, the App is not intended for users under the age required by your country's health-tracking guidelines.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Fittr may update this Privacy Policy if new features are added (such as optional cloud backup or food database contributions). If significant changes are made, we will notify users within the App or via our website.
